You can run it of 110 or 220 but that doesn't answer your question. I
don't know how they rate the motor. I looked at the output cfm and
compared it to the more expensive compressors, those with a seperate
motor. It is not as high for the oilless on a hp to hp comparison. I'm not
saying that this type is as good but they do the job and do it good. If
anyone is waiting to save up the $400 for a better compressor, I would say
buy what you can afford now. If that is a 5 hp sears then so be it. For
most home mechanics the compressor is one of those things that once you
own one you'll wonder how you lived without it.
