I found a new use for my old siphon-feed sand blaster as a pressure
washer. It works quite well--good enough to get into all the crannies
and crevices on an engine, but not so powerful that it blows the vacuum
lines off the engine.
I just put the siphon tube in a gallon jug of water, and presto. My
question for the group, however, is what degreasing solvent would work
well here. It would be best if it were water-based as it throws quite a
bit of material, and given the environmental issues, I would feel better
not using some serious oil-based solvent.
Does anybody have suggestions for what type of soap/solvent would be
best for say, cleaning the engine compartments of my cars or for
cleaning motorcycle engines?
thanks in advance,
doug
