-> cleaning the stone work around my house (Arizona Flagstone and LA
-> smog--sheesh!). So I guess it is pretty crude compared to what you
-> are doing, but I have never heard of blasting with that fine of an
-> abrasive.
That's what Tech Line recommends, and what came with my little blaster
kit. The stuff has the consistency of flour and is very sensitive to
damp - I have to microwave it before use or it'll pack up in the
airbrush.
The 220 leaves a lightly frosted finish on aluminum. The parts have to
be sparkly clean when blasting, or the abrasive will just collect on any
oil or gunk without removing anything.
-> As I said, I don't know much about blasting, but would be interested
-> in what you find out regarding this abrasive.
I will try MSC and McMaster-Carr next. The little bottles from JC
Whitney don't have a manufacturer name or anything, of course.
