I used some regular car wax on my table saw when I started seeing some
rust on the top. It can get pretty humid here in middle Tennessee in
the summer, and the wax keeps the table top from rusting, makes the
wood slide better too! Also works good on planes (the kind that cut,
not fly).
A while back, someone on the list mentioned putting a cake of camphor
in your toolbox to keep your tools from rusting. I'll try anything
once, but where can I find a cake of camphor?
