I've been going through a lot of red shop towels lately working on my
Midget and my Mini. I've been washing them per the instructions:
warm water, mild detergent, no bleach. Problem is, there is still
plenty of grease in them when I throw them in the drier. (I'm liable
to start a drier fire.)

Simple green added to the wash works great on my overalls (do I sound =
like Heloise or what). And a thought: I've given up on red shop towels =
and now spoil myself with wonderful rags - a local diaper service sells =
used (and very nicely washed, thank you very much) diapers for $2-3 a =
pound. Works out to fifteen cents or so per. they are wonderfully soft =
and absorbent. And cheap enough that you can throw them out once they =
are really dirty.
