I've used rolling trolleys on I beams when I have built gantry cranes, jib cranes, etc. You didn't say the size beam you have, but all trolleys are adjustable by removing or adding washers supplied with trolley. Check the usual sources, Grainger, McMaster. Kengano mentioned Northern Hydraulics, they are more affordable than the above two plus they sell hoists also. Don't know if I'd lift big blocks and such but it will definitely save your back ! Bruce McGuire |
