Regarding whether or not to drill the holes in the side of the plastic pail...at first I thought of simply suspending the pump in the fluid but the pump has a threaded metal fitting through which the electrical wires pass. I really didn't like the idea of these wires sitting constantly in the cleaning fluid. I suppose I could plumb in some conduit and keep it sealed but is that really easier than going straight to the outside? I do like the idea of easily switching pails of solvent! Regarding using the shredded Cdn$ as a strengthening agent in the sealing compound...on the surface this is appealling since there are few practical uses we can make of this substance. Further thought suggests that there probably just isn't enough strength there...just ask our Finance Minister! ;-) |
