An electrical conduit bender will not work on copper tubing, there is a
somewhat expensive copper tubing bender made by Ridgid Tools( they make all
the plumbing tools), it is a ratchet type bender and works quite well,
although, you should probably use type 'L' tubing to maintain the strength in
the turns. you can purchase a crossover copper fitting at a plumbing supply
in 1/2 or 3/4 size, a little pricy (over $l.oo ea) but very clean looking.
On another note, there is a theory, that has occasionally proven true, that
when you run air in plastic pipe there is a potential for the solvents in the
glue to explode from the heat/friction of the air rushing thru, you might
keep this in mind when first charging up a plastic air system and slowly
purge the system of the initial solvent fumes.
