The RROC website has an open, public forum anyone can post to.
That said, my feeling is that there is a place for both kinds of mailing
lists. On a list restricted to members one can discuss things like
internal club business, meet organization, club politics and so on that are
at the same time boring to non-members and private to the club.
An open list is well suited to encouraging newbies who don't know much
about the cars but want to learn, but also may attract trolls who post
"Caddilac R00LZ you Limey l00z3rz!" just to stir up the flames. So far
we've been spared that...
But I strongly that as soon as anyone gets SERIOUSLY interested they should
join the club. The dues are a pittance compared to what you get for you
money. The support and encouragement of hundreds of like-minded crazies is
worth it even if you didn't get anything else. I wish I'd joined 20 years
ago; my Mk VI wouldn't still be languishing in the garage.

Me, I like 'em just fine. I just like earlier models BETTER. But I am
idly considering a Bentley Turbo-R for my next daily driver.
