Hey Guys, For all of you who have swapped out your original factory engine and tranny, I have a question: It appears the 305V8 / 350 automatic is much longer and larger than my original 285V8/3 speed on the tree. The question is; does the factory tranny mount cross beam have to be removed to make adequate room for the tranny, and if so HOW is it removed? (it appears the cross beam is riveted in and not bolted in. Do I need a cutting torch to cut the rivets or does someone have another method? Kirk Brown '57 Chevy 3100 Mira Loma, CA |
