3 choices.
-goto wrecking yard and usually they will have already pulled complete
motors sitting there with compression ratings written right on motor
and price right there. 500-800 for carb motor(with carb and all) 1500+
for FI motors with computer.
-find running older truck or car with motor for under 1k, part out car,
rip all the stuff out of it including rear axle, then sell for scrap
for close to what you paid for car.-requires space and time and tools
and trailer.
-cruise your local swap meet or wheels/delas/CL for just the motor.
