[oletrucks] anyone have a V8 engine with auto tranny ?

Hey all,

 

I'm looking for a used but running early model Chevy V8 engine (complete
with alternator / intake / exhaust and everything) and with automatic tranny
(something like a 305, 327, 350).  I'll check around at salvage yards but
thought I'd ask here first.  Does anyone have one or can recommend a source
in Southern CA?

Also I prefer a price of under $1,000.
