HI Tom I dont wet sand anything that will absorb moisture (such as
primer and featherfill). You can blow the water out of the cracks with the
air
gun, so water in the cracks is not an issue.....use a lot of air to dry
it.....but (for me) dry sanding is more than adequate. If you wet sand
primer and
go thru it, the metal will flash with rust almost immediately...and you dont
want that under the paint job. I use wet sanding on finish coat to bring
out the beauty in the finish before the final shoot....wet sand a "screw up"
like orange peel or a bad run. The enamel wont allow the moisture to get
thru to the bare sheet metal. Happy motoring jerry in texas.
