Subject: | [oletrucks] 58 GMC Gas Gauge Inoperative |

Quick question to the group. When I turn the ignition key on the gas gauge goes past full. I have checked the sending unit out and it is okay. I can unplug the wire from the sending unit to the gauge and the same thing happens. I am suspecting that the gas gauge has an internal short in it. Is this correct or is there another problem? Thanks to any and all responses. Jim V. 1958 GMC Suburban Carrier Pickup (Cameo style) - V8 Hydramatic http://www.angelfire.com/mi2/jrvvehicles dcvjrv@comcast.net |
