i have the 350 ramjet installed in my 58 frame. it is a bolt in for a stock
truck w/manual trans. of course i chose the hard way, mustII frontend
w/700r4 but even then with modest fabrication skills it is not a problem.
the wiring harness and computer comes with the motor, as did the air
cleaner, valve covers, water pump, oil pan, distributor and flywheel. it is
the most complete crate motor i have seen. fuel and power is all you need to
add. it even comes with a plug for plugging in diagnosis equipment at the
dealer and gm includes a code reader and list of coades for trouble shooting
the motor.
i installed a frame mounted tank with intank fuel pump. summitracing.com has
pumps that will bolt in-line. the wiring harness has a relay in it for the
fuel pump. gm recomends a 3/8 min fuel line and return line. i chose this
motor for fuel injection and ease of installation. i hate carburators!
my frame is 95% but the body and bodywork is dragging on and on, so i can't
say how it performs. but with 350 hp and 400 ftlb of torque i'm looking
forward to seeing it run.
i did look at other efi motors. wiring, computer, sensors and adapter after
adaper steered me toward this motor. look aroud on-line, the price varies a
lot.

Right now it sounds like a big hassle with the special wiring harness and
