Little by little I'm working the bugs out of my newly acquired '56, but I'm puzzeled by the gas gauge. It was disconnected at both the tank and the gauge. When I reconnected it, it shot all the way over to full. At first I figured it was because the truck was converted from 6 volt to 12 volt, but they were all 12 volt in 56, weren't they? The tank could be full, but I don't think it's that full. Anyone run into this? TIA, Bob (waiting for his shop manuals to arrive) Kinderlehrer |
