A lot of times, wandering is caused by no or not enough caster (axle inclination) if the axle is not bent (different from side to side) this can be adjusted with wedges between the axle and springs. After rebuilding and aligning my 58, before the Camaro front end, I ran across the plains of Wyoming, Nebraska, at 90 Mph with no wander.
