Seems things fall off my radar screen occasionally, probably many newer
members don't know we have mailing list member page on the chevytrucks.org
server, http://www.chevytrucks.org/oletrucks/ . Don't know why but seems
list activity has dwindled a bit over time, seems more of lifes duties have
been occupying most of my time lately. So just thought i'd jump back in a
bit spout off a bit.
Carl and Bill have been very active in the list and have organized a
couple of events. The Futurliner visit and the 1st Midwest get together, I
just truly hate that I live too great a distance to attend these events.
Both of these events can be seen through links on the above URL.. I used to
send out a reminder from time to time letting ya'll (ok now you know what
region of the country i'm from) know what services I offer to the list as
i'll send one out after this message.
My latest project - upgrading to front disc brake - has been nothing
but absolute pure pleasure in enjoyment. Anyone with original setups, if
you're going to upgrade anything, make this a priority as you will not be
disappointed...
Car show activity starts back up soon, we're going to one near Atlanta
this weekend. Not taking the truck as Connie is one the entertainment list
so i'll be doing "roadie" duties. Now poses the question to all... Has
anyone install a frame mounted hitch or use their truck to pull small
trailers? We have a small 5x7 enclosed to haul our stage setup and sound
equipment and would love to pull it around in our 56.. I don't want to use
the bumper and would love the hitch to be unseen as much as possible.
Anybody done this and you have a photo of the setup, i'd love to see
it.... --wayne
