Hey Truckers,
Pulled the gas tank out from under my 50 AD. It was located under the bed,
and was actually bolted to the bed itself. Anyway, got it out, drained the
nasty gas-like crud out, and took a look over it to see how it looked. A)
Dented to hell, B) various leaks and C) full of crud. I'm thinking of
replacing it and moving it behind the seat, and found a replacement at
americanclassic.com for $160. (plus 38, I assume, for the sending
unit/float). Can anyone throw me some pointer or advice (or even pictures)
on this job? It looks like I've still got the straps to mount the tank
inside, but do I need anything else?
Thanks in advance,
-Larry
