The previous owner of my truck had also bought a pair of stainless finish
tail lights and installed them on my truck. Don't know where he got them
but they gave me problems from the start. The wires/contacts installed from
the back of the bulb socket and twisted to lock in place similar to the
bulbs from the other side. I even ordered new wires and contacts from Chevy
Duty and the sockets in the housings were pretty flimsy.
I finally gave up and went to NAPA and bought some round trailer lights
(black) and repainted them white to match the trim and rear bumper. They
work great and I'll never go back to the former set.
As far as Chevy Duty goes, I've bought many items from them and have overall
been very satisfied. If it wasn't right, a phone call to them and they made
it right. Their tail lights may just be one item that could use some
improvement. My suggestion, don't write them off over a set of tail lights.
My 2 cents.
