Wanted to share with everyone on this list a Christmas card I received from my
friend Max. He's an amateur (and accomplished!) historian and archeologist who
knows I own an old GMC. Wayne has kindly posted the card for me at

Here's how Max explains the card:
"Couldn't help thinking of you when I spotted this eye-catcher in a side yard
out in the boonies, 'way north of Lanark Village, a week or so ago. Naturally
I didn't have my camera, and my dog Elvis (not inappropriately named
considering the vintage of this truck) ate half of the Tim Hortons serviette
on which I'd scribbled a rough sketch. So this is partly from memory.
"The star and wreath were fastened to a sawed-off rake handle, the tine end of
the rake being strapped to the roof with an orange web clamp.
"Well... okay, okay; so the Louvre will never be competing for this 'card' at
Sotheby's, but you get the idea..... "
I say, Max is a pretty good artist! Lanark is in Eastern Ontario, Canada, by
the way. Hope everyone on the Oletrucks list enjoys the card as much as I did,
and Merry Christmas to all!
