I thank those whose commented on the bracket and pedal assembly I posted
yesterday. All agreed that is was not correct in alignment.
A 20 minute call to the tech line at Jim Carters revealed a lot to me today
in how they run their business. After them seeing my photos the tech stated
he had 3 different bracket for this install on a TF truck, all same part
number so it seems they just grab whats in the box next-correct or not.
Most may recall that it took 3 shipments for them to get the proportioning
valve correct and still didn't get the correct mounting bracket for it.
They should be ashamed to charge 40 bucks for the bracket they sent--i
could have bent one better than that. The tech commented that he's been
trying to get them to sell the correct style for quiet a while. The tech
was great--I have to give him kudos where due-very knowledgeable. But
everything else---whew---I'll be keeping the disc brake upgrade as no
problem with that---so far-still amazing how they sell the complete upgrade
kit and you have to go purchase the flexible lines yourself...... Guess I'd
better complete the install on that before i say all is well with it. I'll
be sending the rest back for a refund and mark this as my last experience
with them. As I commented earlier, I know some have only great things to
say about them and have had no issues with any orders from them. But I
cannot say them same, and as I stated before--where has customer service
gone to this day and age... I know things are changing but jeesh!!!
At a restaurant this past weekend, we waited 10 minutes for a hostess to
seat us when no crowd was present-hostess not at her station. We finally
seated ourselves and they acted like we broke a cardinal rule or something.
We order drinks, wife got a marquaritta on the rocks instead of the frozen
one ordered. We had to ask for menus, food was delivered to the table and
we had to ask for silverware. I sat for a quarter of a meal without a nice
cold bud to compliment my dinner at this mexican restaurant, I actually
walked to the bar to get another. I bet the waitress could even figure it
out after she received no tip. Generally the service is better but has
gone downhill last couple of trips..
Oh well, gotta go read my stress management booklets--ha ha....
