Yes I've heard of this scam.  The reliable shipper will require money from you
to take the parts (or truck) and you will feel ok because you have all this
money.  Guess what, the check is a fake and by the time its discovered, you
are out the parts and the money.  If it was legit the shipper wouldn't show up
real fast.  But I bet he does.
