Thanks for all the AC comments; I'll compile them and start digging into it or
give up
and take it in...something I almost never do.
The compressor, clutch, pressure switches, etc all seem to be working as
designed. The
line that goes thur the firewall to the evaporator behind the dash is ice
cold...too
cold to hold on to for long. The temperature control appears to be of the
mechanical/sliding wire type and you can feel the resistance thru actuation
that makes
me think that it is working...however the air that comes out of the vents is
ambient
(which is pretty hot these days).
The Jeep has to go in for the last of its burglary insurance repairs
soon...think I
previously mentioned the breakin, so I may give up and let them have a crack at
it...the
first time in years that anyone has been hired to repair any of my vehicles.
