Wayne ~ When I was a young guy in the winter you would pull out the choke, pump the gas and when the engine started you pulled out the throttle to rev up the engine for faster warmup. You went back in the house for a cup a coffee and then it was nice and cozy to drive in the sub-zero weather. After they took out the throttle knob guys would put a brick (not floored!) on the gas pedal to rev up the engine. Tom oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
