[oletrucks] GMC V8 starter

I have a friend who is looking for a GMC V8 starter for his Pontiac V8.
He has done some investigating and determined that the GMC starter
mounts the solenoid at 4-5 o'clock while the Pontiac starter mounts it
at 12 o'clock.  He would like to use a GMC V8 starter, but cannot find
one.  

Anyone out there have a spare that they would part with?  If so please
