just gotta say guys-if you ever had any doubts about a pertronix system in
your stock dist-DONT! its not a truck but i just put it in my 69
van(327/4spd-STOCK!) and i didnt even take the dist out(like it says) and i
took a long time to do it cause i didnt have my tools out and it still only
took me about an hour.
and let me tell you-instead of cranking till it finally fires, revving the
engine meant misfire, starting cold meant a choke and baby the gas...
not any more-first crank fires it with no choke, no mis-fire up to 5 or
6,000, instant start, more power... its awesome!
anyway..
also-progressing on my BBC install into my TF camper. its gonna be fun. i
found out its a stock 70' crate 402 with 67 vette 101cc heads for a combo
factory rated to make 375hp+
the only hitch-i either have to hammer the firewall for valve cover
clearance or cut/notch a section of the firewall. ideas?
