I need some help with identifying my engine and carb.
Here is what I can find.
Above
Starter................................................................CON-3
C162
Smooth surface behind and next to distributor.................F0316A
Eng. Block ...just behind oil
vent....................................3769716
Head...pass
side............................................................B55.....848/850
Head, drivers side B or 3 plus 88684 over GM-13 or GM18
Drivers side of engine ..........
Exhaust manifold 3754644 / GM
Current Carb.................Carter Y F, with letter (c) in circle
and letter (p) in circle
Bowl part # 1810........Top front ......1804
Valve cover....Center fill, "Chevrolet" script is to the rear.
I believe it to be a 1962 ...235 as I had to move the radiator forward
and replace the
water pump with a short shaft type and install the radiator properly.
I have been told the carb is not correct and I would like to return it
to original.
I was also advised that this carb is starving the engine.
Anyone have the correct carb for sale. Offline ok, please.
Thanks
Ray
