The original steering box can be used if: *Use rams horn exhaust manifolds *Take the drivers side and cut the flange off, weld in a 6 inch extension tube to move the flange closer to the road (away from the frame). You will now have 1/4 inch clearance for the steering box up into the arch of the ramshorn manifolds and 1/4 inch clearance on the fuel pump. oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
