I wouldn't mess with sensors or idiot lights...you need the proper equipment
to read your system/circuits...If the "check engine light" isn't coming on
it's probably more than just the bulb. Time to see a good mechanic/electrical
guy
with the proper equipment and know how, It's a cop out... but you can see by
the number of responses and ideas you've gotten from the list that you could
waste a lot of time (and $$) trying resolving this issue on your own.
