Years ago I went to the local NAPA shop with the same question in mind 
(replacing the foot pedal starter).  One of the old-timers there told me a COE 
starter would bolt right up.  They had one in stock and brought it out.  I 
compared 
it to mine and he was right.  I got an ignition switch from a V-8 truck and 
have been using this starter for about 10 years or so.
