I got a comment from someone on one of my lists that the electrolysis process should not be used on any safety-related items like steering arms as it may cause hydrogen embrittlement. I was looking for something rusty to try this out on and happened across the steering arms first...apparently not the best choice... I would not have expected this to be more than a surface effect.
