fords, and slap heavy duty powerstrokes into them. Out in Pahrump Nevada

Nah, don't bother the north is full of Fords. A long established Ford
dealer
has been filling the north for years. In fact if you know of anyone
looking
for early 70's Ford crewcab 4X4 I know of a construction yard with 4 or
5 of
them. I bought the only GMC in the lot, a 1970 GMC 3/4 with a very solid
cab
and front clip. Just like Arizona, parts of the north are very cold and
dry,
with salt not being an option. My community spreads crushed gravel on
the
streets in the winter for traction!
