[oletrucks] Heater core intake cover?

Good afternoon,
I'm getting ready to put the heater core back in my AD.  Now, on the
kick panel where the heater core bolts is a cover, completely covering
the incoming air.  My question, does this cover belong, should I leave
it in, or take it out?
