I was outside much of the day getting my one truck that wasn't made by GM
ready to sell. Its not that there is anything wrong with it, but the toy
just doesn't ever get driven with the other good choices parked nearby...
I plan to buy a mig welder, air compressor and some air tools with the
proceeds of the sale.

Well, I don't know about everybody else, but in my case I've been
replacing the pressure plate on my '86 S10. On my way to Mass this
morning, sitting at an intersection, I hear a clicking sound. The light
turns green, I put it into first, and the clutch catches right on top. The
part of the plate with the prongs on it just snapped, so half of the
prongs wouldn't push back out anymore because the crack would just open
and let them sit where they were.
Oh how I appreciate the AD trucks! I can't wait to get the '54 on the road
as my daily driver and get rid of the S10. I had to tear half the truck
apart just to get the transmission out! Then, of course, nothing went
together right. And is it really necessary to have a hydraulic clutch?
Took seven hours with the S10. I did the same job on my '50 3100 in about
three hours, and with much less frustration. And the '50 is a better
truck.
So anyway, that's why you haven't heard from me! :)
