Have you seen pictures of the Rod & Custom Dream Truck? It was built by
Spencer Murray in the 50's and then destroyed in a trailer accident late 50s
or early 60s. The way this bed and fenders look brings that truck to mind.

I've seen write ups on the truck, but most important is how the bed was
eventually modified in ways that resemble (at least in my memory) what you
are thinking about.

Hi Steve,
I don't even know if it would fit, as I haven't done measurements. I
kinda wonder if it's something that would look better in person than in
a mock-up Photoshop file. I don't know. I don't really want the truck
to look super-different or contrived, but different is ok.
Thanks for your comments!

I spent all day Saturday walking around a Good Guys show, and saw a lot
of cars and trucks that look just like the one two or three cars down
the row. And then there were others where I felt they tried too hard to
be different, but didn't do anything I found appealing.
This is sure different than anything I saw, but its not something that
appeals to me.
I don't care if you want to, but I wouldn't do it.
oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959
