sounds like its either jetted to lean or your mixture screw is to far in. it could be combo of both especially since these engines run so low RPM that there is some idle circuit still in the mix. try unscrewing your mixture screw 1/4-1/2 turn and see if that helps. beats tearing your carb apart. mark http://customclassics.org northern california oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
