GM HEI from a '77 400 Pontiac V8 in a junkyard. No telling how many miles it
already had on it when I pulled it 3-4 years ago. I replaced the "MODULE"
inside the distributor that went bad with a Borg-Warner replacement for that I
got from my FLAPS. $18 including lifetime warranty.

a $18 ignition module later (pop the distributor cap and 2 x 1/4" head screws)
and I was back running.
Moral of the story is for $18 bucks carry a spare.
Bill, what's the brand of your HEI? It's 89 bucks for a Mallory Unilite
Ignition Module (for a 327). Just curious... JP
