Rich, I'm thinking whole dash is diff on 54-55-1 from earlier trucks. Gauges
are diff and trim for them, radio is below grill, above on early ones, maybe
your Punched out hole? Wipers control diff, and placement of throttle
control is way to ritght on 54. I don't think any of the grill parts (dash
that is) will interchange. Even glove box door is diff.
They do make blank out plates to cover some years of dashes to make smooth
or to cut like you wish, check vendors catalogs under their Hot Rod parts
for AD's.
