Mark, there is a real shortage of GMC specific parts, even from the repop
manufacturers. Check the arcives there was a thread on repop parking lights,
a while ago but I dont know the outcome. I have a wideside but there isn't
much left that is useable after the accident.and the front clip is a gonner
and the frame is bent in at least 3 places. I am about to give up on it, you
know its dead but they just havent told me yet. As I have a 58 chevy step
side in a basket, between the two I will have at least one back opn the road
someday.

Subject: [oletrucks] back to the real world...GMC parts

I'm going at a snail's pace on my Chevy Suburban resto, but I'm already
looking for
parts for my 58 GMC NAPCO which will get restored next.
I need to find parking light assemblies and/or parts, NOS and/or used...just
whatever I
can get on the parking lights. I know NOS goes for a fortune.
My grille could be straightened but if a really good one is out there, I'd
be interested.
I'm also interested in wideside/fleetside shortbed specific parts,
especially an
original factory (not step) bumper.
I'd also like to discuss the parts shortage with any other 58/59 GMC owners.
