Beg to differ. The weight of the truck rides on the hub, not the
drum. I am not making any changes to the hub, only to the center
bore of the drum. The only force the drum transmits is the torque
of the brakes to the wheel studs, which then transfer it to the wheel
and tire.
I am not doing anything to the hub, only to the center bore of the drum.
The only function of the center bore of the drum is to keep the drum
centered, and you do not need an interference fit to do that.
