had a real bad expierience with a pheonix tranny -got about 20,000 miles out
of it after it had been supposedly built to handle my 4000# and 300hp but
one day it wouldnt get out of 2nd and then when i finally pulled over-it
wouldnt come out of first...
took it out, took it to a local tranny shop to do a free inspection-they
pulled it apart-converter blew chuncks intot the pump-sent chunks through
the whole tranny-they said nothing was worth saving. soo... i dont call
pheonix anymore.
ps: originally got a 89 700R4 non-lockup out of a wreck yard for 200$(they
didnt know what year it was) and drove 10,000 miles to florida and back and
then got new tranny-blew then put the same used tranny back in-slips a bit
but still goin good.... =/
