They are 1/2 by 28 threads per inch. I finally found a couple in a bin of old
variable resistors and rotary switches at a surplus electronics parts house in
Houston. Try one of the guys who restores old radios. Many have web sites.

Subject: [oletrucks] Radio Nuts
Does anyone know where to find the 1/2" nuts that mount the front of the radio
through the dash?
I've been looking for a while now from some for the original radio I
got for my 53 3100 and the best I can find is 1/2" 20 jam nuts which doesn't
seem to be fine
threaded enough. Anyone have any or know of where to get some?
Thanks,
Jon
