Steve,
I year or so ago I bought some doors for my truck. The guy lived in the
northwest (Portland) and shipped to me in east (Upstate New York) using
Greyhound. He wrapped the pair of doors together and put cardboard on the
outside and took to the nearest Greyhound depot. I guess they still have an
express service. I think the total cost for the two doors was around $75.00.
It took 5 or 6 days. But they got here. I imagine they had some weight
restrictions. The driver has to be able to get them out of the luggage
compartment. I picked them up at the nearest depot to my house.
At the time I thought it was odd, but I ended up buying other stuff from
this guy including the rarer than hens teeth steel fenders for my truck. He
shipped them the same way. They came undamaged and in a reasonable amount of
time.

Subject: [oletrucks] Transporting Parts
I've found some parts I'd like to buy in Florida. I'm near Seattle. Does
anyone know anyone who could haul some doors from one corner of the country
to another? With all this talk of transporting trucks I'm hoping someone
could do just a small part of a truck...
