Section 13 Lubrication, page 502 Hydra-Matic and Reduction Unit
'Engine oil designated only "For service DG" and meeting MIL-L-2102A
specification, should be used in truck Hydra-Matic transmission and
reduction unit.'
'If oil meeting above specifications cannot be obtained, "Automatic
Transmission Fluid - Type A" may be used for transmission; however
ENGINE OIL AND TYPE A FLUID MUST NOT BE MIXED.'
Exact same statement found in GMC Hydra-Matic Transmission Operation and
Maintenance X-5706
Section I, page 44 Periodic Maintenance, Transmission Oil.
