In the large diameter (barrel) part of the road draft breather there is
filter material (like sos) to clean the outside air of dust, bugs, etc on it
way into the crankcase.  This material is not replaceable.  The breather can
not be disassembled in a non-destructive manner.  Most people soak the unit
in solvent to clean it.

Eastwood sells a glass polishing kit for removal of light scratches in
glass.  Never tried it myself.

Howdy,
Someone told me that the oil fill tube and/or road draft crank case
ventilation tube had something inside which looked like SOS pads(wire
mesh)...if so can someone tell me where the sos type material goes and where
I
can get some of the sos type material...
