I have the "Assembly Manual" for a '54 Chev, and this is a '55 GMC, but I've
never found one for the GMC, so mostly I relay on the '54 book.
Does your book cover '55 1st GMC specifically?
I have cleaned and greased the pivot, and that didn't seem to make any
difference. The new master is closer to the center of the truck, and I do
think its changed things a bit. I had not thought about the body mount, and
the possibility that it has sagged. I'll look at that tomorrow.
