Yes Canadian model numbers are different. My 59 GMC is a 9314, and it would
have been a 100 in the USA. In the GMC line the engines were different as
well, USA would have a 270 and in Canada they had 235's.
>From my experience your 1300 is the same as an American 3100.
Confused yet?

Subject: [oletrucks] 3100 ? mine sais 1300
So I just bought an old 2nd series Chevy, thought it was a 55 but starting
to think it's a 56 cause the fender emblem is above the crease, but all the
pics I see have 3100chevrolet on the emblem but mine has 1300chevrolet? I
can't seem to find anything on this. Could it be because it's a Canadian
truck? I feel like I'm rediscovering my truck everday... it's pretty fun.
I know I can get lots of info off the serial number but it's missing from
the door and I haven't had a chance to look at the frame yet. I know where
to look but the truck is about a half hour away so I won't find it till the
weekend. Also, what frame fits best on these? Mine will have to be
replaced.
Thanx in advance
