Darrel, I think the box end goes past the x-over some. Isn't the cab on t=

tell clearance? I am thinking that the box is only held on by bolts that =
go
thru the wood floor and thru the x-overs, into blocks or pads and into th=

frame. Only place metal form box actually gets bolted is the last x-over
that is the connection between sides of box below the gate in back. It se=
ts
on frame with only a pad on supports, no blocks there. You need wood to m=
ake
it all come rigid and mounted. If you see orig wood it has a special offs=
et
depression in wood and washer to match where the carriage bolt goes thru =
it.
Front of box doesn't mount to anything. I'm thinking maybe the angle edge
you ask about sets on top of wood flooring, same as the side ones do.=0D

the front sheet metal "lip" would sit on top of the crossmember with the =

out when so mounting, the running boards are about 2" from connecting to =

the rear fenders. Hence, I've either got to drill new holes through the =3D=
=0D
frame or add another piece to the front of the first crossmember. Does =3D=
=0D
that make sense?=0D

members and one just ahead of axle/frame bump-up doesn't bolt to frame =3D=

and just clears the hump until you load it. There are pads or sometimes =3D=

blocks of wood and pads used on diff years to use under the x-members to =
=3D=0D
set box up off frame and allow to clear the hump for axle. Rear bolts =3D=
=0D
just have a pad between last member (also bottom of box at gate) and the =
=3D=0D
frame. They make bolt kits for this with pads, bolts, blocks, etc. from =3D=
=0D
most vendors. Also, there is a small booklet with info and explanation =3D=
=0D
of how years were mounted and what to do with box to mount and rebuild. =3D=
=0D
Most vendors have for about $4 or so. I reccommend you get one. There is =
=3D=0D
a fella on web who has a tech article with info about same too, can't =3D=
=0D
remember where. Maybe someone at www.stovebolt.com forums will know it. =3D=
=0D
