Another place to look, (and they go for cheap money) is the Jaguar XJ6
shifter. They are set up for a th400 (universal mount design, but the guts
are the same). Nice tight setup, cable attachment. I got one for 10 bucks
complete.
And they are very "stylish" wood grained panels and most come with a couple
of toggle switches for (?) fog lights or whatever.

Gordy, Lots of rodders use the old Mustang/Pinto shifters
for the ease of
install. In a truck would be too low to floor. I have also
seen Camaro
shifters, same as Firebird and about any Cavilier or J-car
or mid-size us=

Most of these will require a console and best to cut out the

length is problem in truck. All of these are cable opperated

get the lokar =

that other similar brand and install. It's something you'll
see and use
first thing everytime you drive. A bad set-up here will be a

Hi all,=0D

I am at the point where I can set up the automatic
transmission shifter. =
I
am using a stock steering column along with a small block

Do any of you out there know of a donor car that has a floor

shifters. I will orde=

the Lokar shifter if I have to but I would prefer to save
